Man struck by car while running down street in Seabrook

SEABROOK, TX

It happened in the 700 block of Second Street.

Police say 24-year-old Natalie Kuykendall became so enraged that she hit deliberately slammed her Honda Civic into her boyfriend, Dustin Schloesser, as he tried to run away. Upon impact, investigators say his body went flying into another vehicle, causing severe head trauma.

"He wasn't moving at that point, no. I could see the body, I could the arm, a bigger gentleman," witness Mike Worthington said.

Schloesser, 25, was taken by LifeFlight to the hospital in critical condition, and Kuykendall was taken to jail. She's charged with aggravated assault, intentionally causing serious bodily injury.

Her neighbors are stunned.

"The way she acted around here she was always very nice, friendly. I mean what you told me is kind of shocking to honest with you. I would have never guessed that," neighbor MIke Woellhof said.

But Schloesser's next door neighbor, Michael Baker, said while it's tragic, this outcome is not all that surprising.

"I did not expect that she would go that far but they did a lot of arguing together and screaming. And he has a temper, and she does too," Baker said.

Schloesser is in critical condition.

Police have not yet released a motive. Kuykendall is being held at the Seabrook Jail, awaiting transfer to the Harris County Jail. However, she's expected to post bond sometime later tonight.
