Thirty-four skydivers band together to create Texas' largest skydiving formation

ROSHARON, TX

On Sunday, 34 skydivers at Skydive Spaceland raced at 160mph toward the ground together and created the largest head-down skydiving formation in Texas history. The group had about 55 seconds to jump out of the airplanes at 15,000 feet and complete the skydiving formation before disbanding to deploy their parachutes.

"Breaking the Texas State Head-Down Record was the first record for many, and I think we all learned some life lessons and created bonds that will never be broken," said co-organizer Donagene Jones.

The jump, which was mostly unplanned, was made during a three-day weekend event where experienced skydivers get together to try new tricks in large, coordinated groups.
