Down to the wire for Houston mayoral candidates

Mayor Parker is hoping to avoid a runoff election with primary challenger Ben Hall

It's down to the final hours of campaigning for those who want to be Houston's mayor.

Current Mayer Annise Parker was at City Hall today taking a short break from the campaign trail. She'll be at it again early tomorrow morning, seeking her third two-year term in office.

All indications are that Mayor Parker will win the majority of vote against a crowded field on Tuesday, but she may not win enough to avoid a runoff.

Hoping to make a run-off is her most well-financed opponent, Ben Hall. Hall is a former city attorney now in private practice.

He spent today making the rounds at restaurants and other businesses trying to shore up last minute votes. Hall told ABC he expects high turnout among minority voters, which will put him in the top two vote getters.
