Harris County undercover online prostitution sting 'Operation Boo' nets 14 arrests

HOUSTON

The operation was a two-day prostitution sting on October 30 and 31, spearheaded by the Harris County Sheriff's Office in collaboration with the Humble Police Department.

According to officials, the sting targeted suspects who solicit and sell sex online.

Undercover deputies -- male and female -- posed as both prostitutes and sex solicitors online. Arrangements were made to meet at a hotel located near Highway 59 and FM 1960 in north Harris County.

In all, 14 men and women were arrested.

Charged with prostitution are: Marton Arana, Megan Frances Green, Sara Marie Postingel, Dexter Edwin Williams, Donnie Earl Jackson, John Michael Sanchez, Ronald Laderer, Stephen Siarski, Sara Kay Huebbe, Kenyan Mashinda Crowell, John Michael Smith, Edward James Swafford, Latasha Michel Edwards.

The 14th suspect, Pamela Jefferson, is charged with possession of marijuana.

HCSO officials said they will continue to conduct similar prostitution operations year-round, targeting those who solicit sex as well as those who sell it.
