Boy, 11, accused of bringing gun, 400 rounds of ammo to school

VANCOUVER, WA

No one was hurt.

Police spokeswoman Kim Kapp said late Wednesday night in a statement that the boy was interviewed by detectives and arrested for investigation of one count of attempted murder. He was booked into Clark County juvenile detention.

Officers responded to Frontier Middle School about 9:30 a.m. Wednesday to investigate a report that ammunition had been found there. Police located the ammunition and multiple weapons.

The middle school and a nearby elementary school were locked down for about two hours.

The spokeswoman says the police major crimes team continues to investigate.
