Injured Baytown Sterling high school football player air-lifted to hospital

A junior varsity Baytown Sterling football player was airlifted to the hospital after suffering an injury during last night's game.

School officials say the student, who is a sophomore at the school, was talking and breathing when he was transported. Hospital officials tell us he was discharged a few hours later.

Witnesses say the student was injured when lowering his head during a block. Several people sent out Tweets expressing their support following the injury.
