Deputies say the victim was crossing FM 529 at Bleinheim Palace when he was hit by an elderly driver. Witnesses say the man was carrying alcohol and walking against traffic in a poorly lit area of the road.
The victim suffered serious head trauma. He was taken to Cypress-Fairbanks Medical Center, where he later died.
Deputies believe the man may have been homeless. The driver was not injured.
