Police say Jestin Joseph entered a south Fort Worth McDonald's after 9 p.m. Tuesday night and asked for a drink cup. He then allegedly drew a gun and pointed it at diners, demanding their keys.
He's caught on video approaching one father and son at the counter and pulling the trigger. The gun doesn't fire. Joseph got a stray shot off in the parking lot before police arrived.
He later told KTVT-TV in a jailhouse interview that he just wanted a cup of water, "but somebody said something, and I lost it."
The 24-year-old man is charged with five counts of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon. He's being held on $500,000 bond.
