The center will have men's and women's locker rooms, office space, additional parking and a reception hall.
"We're going to have a meeting area where running groups can come in and rent it out or the facility can be rented out for functions as well," said Memorial Park Capital Campaign Chair Mindy Hildebrand. "We'll have a tent pad in the back that can be rented out for bigger groups, and again we have plenty of parking for that."
The center is the third and final phase of a $10 million capital campaign to improve the park that started in 2008. The running trails center is scheduled to open next April.
