Free downtown Dallas shuttle begins in November

DALLAS, TX

The $2.5 million project approved Wednesday also involves bus operator Dallas Area Rapid Transit and the business group Downtown Dallas Inc. The city and the organizations will share the cost for the shuttle dubbed D-Link. The service begins Nov. 4.

The 14-stop route includes a site near the Sixth Floor Museum to accommodate large crowds expected Nov. 22 for the 50th anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. The museum is along the route of JFK's 1963 motorcade.

The shuttles will run from 11 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
