Shae McCutchen was in court on Friday. He's accused of having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old.
McCutchen taught a health class at Spring ISD's Westfield High School and, according to court documents, first met the girl at school. The student and her mother reported him in June, and he was arrested Thursday after charges were filed.
McCutchen's attorney says there is still a lot more to learn in his client's case.
"He hasn't been indicted yet by a grand jury," said attorney John Pizzitola. "We'll get copies of the police report from the district attorney. Sit down and visit with him and we'll appear about in November."
The judge ordered McCutchen not to have any contact with the alleged victim. Spring ISD has placed him on administrative leave.
