Friday storms leave behind damage in Liberty County

Many people in our area didn't get a drop of rain yesterday, but major storms moved through Liberty County.

Storms left a big mess behind in downtown Cleveland, where power poles were knocked down and windows were blown out.

One woman came out in the middle of the night to move merchandise after her family business suffered storm damage.

"I'm assuming it was like a tornado that came through here," resident Denise Keese said. "It popped the windows off in her building."

Despite the strong winds, no one was hurt and most of the town has power this morning.
