It happened just before midnight at El Sonador Night Club on Highway 249 near Breen.
Harris County Sheriff's Office deputies say a fight broke out during the Floyd Mayweather Jr.-Canelo Alvarez boxing match on television. All of a sudden, someone pulled out a gun and opened fire.
The victim was the only person shot. He was dead by the time deputies arrived.
Deputies have not yet identified the victim. They describe him only as a Hispanic male.
No suspect decription has been released. Anyone with information on this crime or the identity or whereabouts of the gunman is asked to call Houston Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS or the HCSO Homicide at 713-967-5810.
