A normally busy stretch of the South Belt is closed all weekend long due to construction. The Sam Houston Tollway between Hillcroft and Highway 288 has been shut down in both directions and won't re-open until early Monday morning.
Detours have been set up, but it would be wise to avoid this area if at all possible.
