Austin Co. officials seize more than $1.5M worth of marijuana

We're getting a look at what approximately $1.5 million dollars with of marijuana plants looks like. The Austin County Sheriff's Office provided photos of what they say was a major pot bust there.

The sheriff's office got a tip last Thursday that marijuana was growing in the area near Grubbs Road and Peters San Felipe Road. They got a warrant and on Friday, found what they say are around 13,000 marijuana plants growing.

The plants were removed and taken to the Austin County Sheriff's Office to be used as evidence. The irrigation system there was destroyed.

Criminal charges are pending.
