A Crosby ISD bus carrying pre-K students was involved in an accident around noon Friday, but no one was injured, officials said.

CISD Superintendent Dr. Keith Moore says the bus was trying to make a left turn on Apache from the southbound lanes of FM 1492 when the driver of a tan Corolla tried to pass the bus on the left and struck it.

The back left fender of the bus was damaged, but all six students inside, along with the bus driver, were unharmed. However, the children were checked out by emergency personnel as a precaution. It wasn't immediately clear whether the driver of the Corolla was injured.

Moore says the bus was not flashing any of its caution or red lights at the time of the accident and wasn't sure whether the driver of the Corolla will be cited.
