Police in Pocatello say the airplane landed safely just after 2:30 a.m. Tuesday.
KPVI-TV reports the plane's 147 passengers were waiting at the terminal for a replacement airplane to arrive, which was expected to happen at about 9:30 a.m.
Pocatello airport manager David Allen says an engine on the airplane shut down and Pocatello was the closest suitable airport to make an emergency landing.
