Mystery surrounds body found in N. Houston street

HOUSTON

The victim was reportedly stabbed repeatedly in his upper body and even in his face, then left lying in the middle of Duff Street near Irvington.

Houston police say they got a call just before 5:30am about the dead body lying in the middle the street. Authorities say the victim is a male between 25 and 30 years old. Right now, they have very little to go on.

"Our witnesses spoke with my sergeant who is also here at the scene," said Officer P. Vela with the Houston Police Department. "Right now, we're limited on what we have. We don't have the information that we need right now, so we're still conducting our investigation and we don't have much right now."

So far police have no suspects. Investigators say the victim had no identification on him so they are working to find out who he is and why he was so brutally murdered in the street.

Anyone with information is asked to call Houston police or Crime Stoppers.
