Violent home invasion in northeast Harris County caught on video

HOUSTON

Investigators say on July 16 at around 12:15pm, a man was leaving his home in the 1100 block of Abby Ridge Way. He had left the garage door open, allowing two men to gain access to the home.

One suspect is seen approaching the victim with a gun. He reportedly demanding cash, jewelry and other valuables. After the victim told him there was nothing of value in the home, investigators say the suspect fired his weapon, grazing the homeowner.

Both suspects are then seen going through the home, collecting valuables before fleeing the scene in a light blue Dodge Caravan with a dent in the rear doors.

The first suspect is described as a black male, between 20-25 years of age, standing bewteen approximately 5'6" and 5'7" and weighing between 160 and 170 pounds. At the time of the offense, the suspect was wearing a purple shirt and tan shorts.

The second suspect is described as a black male, between 25 and 30 years of age, standing approximately 5'8" to 5'9"and weighing between 170 and 180 pounds. At the time of the offense, the suspect was wearing a red baseball cap, white shirt and red shorts.
