Precinct 1 deputy constables on patrol spotted a man breaking into a car on Suffolk and San Felipe. Investigators say the suspect took off running.
Deputy constables chased him into some nearby railroad tracks. HPD's K-9 unit and chopper were called in to help with the search.
The suspect was discovered hiding in the back of a nearby house, where he was arrested.
