Missing Seabrook boy found in NW Houston; Amber Alert canceled

HOUSTON

Police say 5-year-old Apollo Allen had been missing since Tuesday. He was allegedly abducted by his father, 32-year-old Timothy Allen.

The boy's mother, Jana Santana, told police her ex-husband took the boy to go pick up their 10-year-old daughter from a home in north Houston house. But then the girl called Santana and said the two never showed up. Satana picked up her daughter and when she still hadn't heard from the two, she reported her son missing.

Houston police and the FBI were searching for the pair. They were eventually found during a traffic stop in the 7500 block of Wilshire Place Drive in northwest Houston. Allen was taken into custody.

"He was found in the car, it was a traffic stop. That's how we were notified," said Capt. Sean Wright with the Seabrook Police Department. "They are still investigating the traffic stop. The child is safe. The mother has been notified and we'll be attempting to recover the child sometime this evening."

According to police, Allen has a history of drug use and a criminal past. Charges against him are pending both in Houston and Seabrook.
