El Paso police on Wednesday identified the victim as 22-year-old Cheyenne Rhoades of Avinger.
The worker was located early Tuesday on the ground near the east concourse. Police spokesman Darrel Petry says Rhoades was transported to an El Paso hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Rhoades was an electrical contractor for Johnson Controls Inc., which was doing airport upgrades. The project includes retrofitting lights, window film installation and a central plant upgrade.
Further details on the accident weren't immediately released.
