State police say troopers tried to stop 33-year-old Christopher Moore of Dallas around 9 p.m. Tuesday for speeding in a pickup truck on Interstate 81 in the Cortland County town of Preble, 20 miles south of Syracuse. Police say he refused to pull over and continued driving north on I-81 through Onondaga County, the city of Syracuse and Oswego County.
The chase ended at Exit 42 in Adams in Jefferson County after police spike strips punctured the pickup's tires.
Police say the pickup was reported stolen in late May in Kilgore, Texas.
Moore is being held in the Jefferson County Jail on charges that include possessing stolen property and marijuana. It couldn't be determined if has a lawyer.
