Manuel Edgardo Rivera-Bautista, 32, was captured by border patrol officers on March 31 while trying to illegally enter the U.S., say ICE officials. He was transferred into ICE custody on May 8. A few days later, officials were notified about the outstanding warrant in El Salvador for aggravated homicide.
Officials say Rivera-Bautista was wanted in connection to four different murder cases in his home country. He was flown back to El Salvador by ICE officials this past Friday, and turned over police there.
This isn't the first time Rivera-Bautista had been deported. Back in November of 2008, he was captured in south Florida and sent back to El Salvador, according to officials.
