Police say 50-year-old Gary Anthony Sanders was arrested Sunday and charged with burglary of a habitation. He remained in Dallas County jail Monday on $50,000 bond. Jail records did not list an attorney for him.
Penny Terk was found stabbed, shot and strangled in her Red Bird-area home on Friday afternoon. The former schoolteacher ran a website to connect book reviewers to book clubs for fees.
Terk's daughter called police Friday after not hearing from her mother since Wednesday and finding the house in disarray. Her daughter told police that a television, lawn trimmers, leaf blowers, jewelry and a washer and dryer were stolen from the home.
