Ex-Lackland trainer gets 2 years in sex scandal

SAN ANTONIO, TX

The San Antonio Express-News reports Senior Airman Christopher Oliver on Wednesday was also given a dishonorable discharge.

Oliver is a former elite training instructor at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland. He pleaded guilty to having adulterous relationships with three female trainees but had contested other charges dating back about two years when he was a staff sergeant.

A military judge convicted Oliver of consensual sodomy, wrongful sexual contact, adultery, dereliction of duty and having unprofessional relationships.

More than 30 instructors at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland have been charged with sexual misconduct. Most of those tried so far have been convicted.
