Equipment theft threatens Texas Equusearch's existence

HOUSTON

Someone stole the organization's van and two off road vehicles from outside a southeast Houston restaurant. The stolen items totaled $45,000 included a GPS system, firearms and phones.

"This one really put us down a couple of notches lower and whether we're gonna survive from it I really do not know at this point and time. It was a huge blow," Texas Equusearch founder Tim Miller said.

Miller said the group was already looking at having to cut back expenses to make ends meet.

This theft came one day after the arrest of Vernon Armentor, the former boyfriend of Miller's late daughter. Miller says police arrested Armentor in his office Monday for allegedly unauthorized purchases with an Equusearch credit card.
