They were called to a club called The Zone in the 8300 block of the Gulf Freeway near Bellfort around 6:30am Sunday.
Officers say there was a fight inside the club that continued outside. Suddenly, someone started shooting.
According to police, at least two people were shot. One of them died and another was taken to an area hospital.
This shooting happened the day after four people were shot, including one fatally, at a club on Bissonnet in southwest Houston. Two of those victims were security guards.
