It happened at an apartment complex off Underwood at Kirby.
The wheelchair-bound woman was still trapped inside and had to be rescued. She was rushed to the hospital after inhaling too much smoke.
A second woman was treated on scene after becoming dizzy from the smoke.
Fire crews tell us the flames started in the kitchen, but don't have the exact cause just yet.
