Man fatally shot at north Harris County flea market

HOUSTON

Emergency responders arrived at the scene around 8pm and found one person dead with multiple gunshot wounds. His name has not been released.

The shooting happened at Mercado Sabadomingo in the 8700 block of Airline Drive near West Gulf Bank Road. It's a collection of flea markets and other businesses.

Just seconds before the shooting, Harris County Sheriff's Office officials said the man had been inside a club with his friend. Investigators believe the shooter may have been inside a car.

According to investigators, the gunman pulled up, shot the victim and drove away.

There is no word yet on a possible motive, and officials do not have a vehicle description at this time.

The area is no stranger to crime. This incident comes a little over a year after a double homicide at the market, which ended in an arrest. Authorities are hoping the shooter in this case is caught soon. Anyone with information can call HCSO.
