Dr. Marshall Morgan, the chief of emergency medicine at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, says three women were brought there. One died, one was in surgery, and the other is in serious condition but doing well.
Morgan says three other women went to UCLA Medical Center Santa Monica with relatively minor injuries. One has shrapnel-type injuries and the two others had injuries not related to gunfire.
The shooting began in a neighborhood near the campus, where witnesses say a man dressed in black shot up a house where two people were found dead inside.
The man then wounded a woman in a passing car before the carnage shifted to Santa Monica College, where cars and people were fired upon.
