A family member called the Coast Guard after one of the men called them saying their boat was taking on water and sinking. The Coast Guard used the cell phone signal to track the boaters.
A helicopter located the men sitting on their overturned boat in northwest Trinity Bay around 8pm. A Coast Guard cutter picked them up.
Both men were taken to Chambers County Emergency Medical Center.
