HFD: Electrical problem in AC unit likely caused SE Houston fire

HOUSTON

Firefighters were called to a home on Bataan and MLK around midnight. Crews put the fire out quickly, but the flames destroyed the bedroom where the fire started.

Officials say no one was hurt in the fire. It's believed an electrical problem with the AC unit is to blame.
