DOD: Soldier from Pasadena killed in Afghanistan

PASADENA, TX

Staff Sgt. Joe A. Nunez-Rodriguez, 29, died Thursday in Wardak Province, Afghanistan, from injuries sustained when his vehicle struck an Improvised Explosive Device.

He was assigned to the 68th Combat Support Sustainment Battalion, 43rd Sustainment Brigade, 4th Infantry Division at Fort Carson, Colorado.
