Officials have deemed the park too dangerous to live in because of badly damaged homes, a soaked electrical system, and an artesian well contaminated with E.coli and coliform.
The San Antonio Express-News reports that a letter issued to the residents at Big Tree Trailer City says they could be fined up to $2,000 per day if they don't leave by Friday morning, though officials said they don't plan to enforce that.
The city's developmental services spokeswoman, Ximena Copa-Wiggins, says their focus will be to work with residents.
