It happened around 10:35am Tuesday in the 1900 block of Avenue D in Rosenberg.
Officers were called to a reported disturbance. When they arrived, police said they found one victim with a stab wound to the left forearm.
During the investigation, police located 27-year-old Wesley McClain. Officials said they also found his weapon.
The victim was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
McClain was taken into custody without incident and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
