Police say Alejandro Arrona, 19, of Rosenberg, was trying to break into a home in the 400 block of Blume Road at around 11pm. Arrona, who was armed with a gun, was confronted by the homeowner, who was also armed.
Arrona then reportedly pointed his gun at the homeowner. That's when the homeowner began firing, hitting Arrona several times.
Arrona was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. He was released from the hospital Monday and charged with aggravated robbery, attempted burglary of a habitation and unlawful possession of a firearm.
The homeowner wasn't injured and is not facing any charges at this time. The case will be turned over to the Ft. Bend County District Attorney's Office.
