Sgt. John Foster of the Williamson County Sheriff's Department says an argument that started Saturday night ended in the shootings early Sunday morning.
Foster said 40-year-old Kimberly Tervin and 45-year-old Ronald Berry died of gunshot wounds. Tervin's husband, Forest, was wounded.
Foster said Berry got into an argument while at the Tervins' home. Berry then left to retrieve a handgun from his home and returned to the Tervins' house, where he forced his way inside, Foster said.
Detectives are still trying to piece together details, Foster said.
