University of Houston police investigating on-campus robbery

HOUSTON

It happened just before 8pm Friday in the 4000 Block of Elgin Street.

According to officials, a visitor on campus was approached by three black males. They initially asked if they could use his cellphone, but then one of them pulled out a black semi-automatic handgun.

The suspects demanded the victim's phone and wallet, then they took off toward Rosalie Street.

One suspect was wearing a light blue T-shirt and dark shorts. He was about 5 feet 9 inches and had a thin build. The second suspect was wearing a dark T-shirt and dark shorts. He was about 5 feet 9 inches and had a thin build. The third suspect was also wearing a dark T-shirt and dark shorts. He was about 5 feet 9 inches and had a medium build.
