Strong storms move through southeast Texas

HOUSTON

Areas north of I-10 are seeing the roughest weather. Dangerous lightning, heavy rain, large hail and damaging winds are common with the strongest storms. Rainfall rates of 1 to 1.5 inches per hour are occurring in some areas.

There are no longer any weather watches in place, however severe thunderstorm warnings continue to be issued as the strongest storms race to the east at 25mph.

A few strong storms will likely move through the Houston metro area during the early part of this morning's commute.

After this morning, many of us will dry out. We could still see a few scatterd showers and storms later today.
