A Harris County man was arrested in California for allegedly stealing money from the Montgomery County bank where he worked.

Investigators with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office say Angelo Jose Fontanez-Lopez, 19, took more than $100,000 from the Woodforest Bank inside a Walmart in Porter.

An arrest warrant was issued, and police in Barstow, California, were notified that Fontanez-Lopez was believed to be in their jurisdiction. They located him at a motel, apprehending him just as a pizza delivery driver knocked on his door.

Authorities say Fontanez-Lopez was in possession of a large quantity of cash and several electronic items believed to have been purchased using the stolen money. Fontanez-Lopez also had recently purchased a vehicle which was also believed to have been purchased using the stolen money. Police say all of the items were seized as evidence.

During a search of Fontanez-Lopez's property, police say they discovered a large quantity of marijuana, along with packaging material, a scale and additional evidence pointing to sales of marijuana.

Fontanez-Lopez was arrested and booked at the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department jail in Barstow.
