Residents in Vancouver spotted the big cat lurking earlier this week.
A police car spotted it once, but no one was able to catch it or chase it away until it caught the eye of "Harley," the neighborhood pit bull.
The 135-pound mountain lion was much larger than Harley, but that didn't stop the dog.
He managed to chase the mountain lion up a tree early Friday morning.
Wildlife officials eventually tranquilized the cat and removed it.
