It happened on Houston's south side around midnight. Police were trying to pull a driver over after seeing him come out of an area known for drugs, but the driver took off.
He stopped after one of his tires blew out and then surrendered on Mallow and Scott.
Police say the man's 15-year-old stepson was also in the car. The suspect now faces felony evading charges along with child endangerment. No word yet on why he tried to run.
