Houston police used a Taser to subdue a suspected church burglar this morning.

Officers say they arrived at Mount Zion Baptist Church to find that someone had broken into the downtown church's education building.

They say when they encountered the suspect, he began walking toward them, waiving a screwdriver. He reportedly refused repeated orders to drop the tool and they used a Taser to subdue him.

The suspect was taken to jail and booked on a burglary charge.
