Right now that accused man is in jail on multiple child pornography charges. Investigators say he was online offering parents up to $10 for nude photos of their kids.
Investigators say Spencer Tecumseh House was using the online classified site Craigslist to try to access inappropriate photos of children.
"I would believe he's a predator. Yes," said Sgt. Gary Spurger with the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable's Office High Tech Crimes Unit.
Sgt. Spurger says House initially posted an ad on Craigslist selling a tire cover for a jeep. Then he began asking a potential buyer if he had children who wanted to model.
"At some point Mr. House said, hey, I'll pay you $5 for a clothed pictures of your children. $10 for nude pictures of your children," the sergeant told us.
A concerned father went to police. Sgt. Spurger told us Houston Metro Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force was already investigating another bizarre Craigslist ad House allegedly posted seeking child models.
During a warrant to search House's apartment, investigators say they found numerous images of child pornography on House's computer from file sharing sites. They say the man, who lives alone, also had a box of children's underwear in his closet.
Now with House's arrest investigators are urging parents to monitor their kids closely.
"What if it had been a kid that had answered the ad and started the conversation and the parents weren't involved? There's no telling where it would have gone," said Sgt. Spurger.
House, 22, is charged with three counts of possession of child pornography.
At this time investigators say they are not sure whether there are any local victims. They are asking anyone who's either communicated with house or sent him photos to call Precinct 4 Constable's Office.
