Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found at 3600 South Loop West at about 4:40pm Sunday.

A Galveston EMS ambulance was flagged down for help by two unknown male suspects. The ambulance pulled over to the shoulder of the freeway and the suspects pulled in behind them. Police say the suspects then pulled the victim from the back seat of their vehicle, a small black sport utility vehicle, and put him on the grass.

As Galveston emergency personnel treated the victim, the suspects fled the scene in their vehicle. HFD paramedics arrived at the scene and transported the victim, 16 to 20 years of age, to Ben Taub General Hospita where he died. His identity has not been released.

The suspects are described only as two black males, 18 to 22 years of age. Anyone with information in this case or on the identities of the two male suspects is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
