Harris County investigators are searching for a third suspect in the killing of a man at his home in NW Harris County. Two people have been arrested and are facing capital murder charges.

It happened at a home on Auronia Drive at Donrel Way in northwest Harris County.

Lamarque Samuels, 32, was shot and killed in his own home. Investigators have arrested two teenagers. Another suspect is still on the run.

"Turn yourself in, man. They're going to get you regardless. They know who you are," said the victim's brother Trahmon Samuels. "You took somebody's child away. You took my brother away."

According to the Harris County sheriff's office, three teenagers broke into Samuels' garage just after midnight. One neighbor, who didn't want to be identified, saw it happen.

"I saw some people sitting in the yard across the street trying to steal a car. That is when I yelled out, 'Hey, what are ya'll doing?' I turned back around, ran back into the house and proceeded to dial 911," he said.

The noise woke Samuels up and when he entered his garage deputies say the men demanded his car keys. As Samuels went inside to get them, they shot and killed him in the doorway.

Neighbors saw the three men run out of the garage, across the street and into a waiting car. The car wouldn't start at first so the men pushed it halfway down the street. By then, police arrived on the scene.

The suspects led deputies on a wild chase, going nearly 100 miles per hour on side streets.

"About seven or eight minutes -- not even a whole ten minutes. That's how fast it was," said neighbor Nikki Smith.

Authorities say a life was lost over a car.

"You senselessly took a life. It just don't make sense, man," said Trahmon. "They're going to get you."

According to Samuels' family, the vehicle they were trying to steal wasn't his. Apparently, a cousin was storing the vehicle there overnight.

The two 16 year olds in custody have been charged with capital murder. Meanwhile, deputies are still searching for a third suspect in this case.
