A federal judge in Amarillo on Monday sentenced 38-year-old Shanice Adel Lambert. Lambert reached a plea deal and in November pleaded guilty to travel with intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct.
Prosecutors say Lambert was working in the Childress Independent School District when she began a sexual relationship with the boy. Lambert in February 2012 traveled to Altus, Okla., and rented a motel room for the pair.
Lambert was indicted on charges of production of child pornography, enticement of a minor and transportation of a minor to engage in criminal sexual activity. Prosecutors say Lambert used a cellphone to communicate with the youth.
