Firefighters are battling a blaze at a fast food restaurant in west Houston, and wind is making it a difficult task.

According to a fire department spokesperson, the blaze started around 6:30pm in the kitchen of Taco Bell on Westheimer at Dairy Ashford.

Six employees were inside at the time. They tried to put it out intially, but then called 911. Fifty firefighters were eventually on scene.

The fire spread to the attic. It took firefighters about three hours to get the blaze under control as the high winds fueled the flames.

It's unclear how many customers were inside when the fire broke out, but officials said everyone was able to get out safely. No injuries have been reported.

Arson investigators ruled the cause of the fire as accidental, due to an unspecified electrical issue in the ceiling area.
