Young suspects accused of swiping Christmas gifts

HOUSTON

On Tuesday, the Harris County Sheriff's Office got a call about several suspects stealing Christmas gifts from an unlocked vehicle in the 10300 block of Crimson Canyon in northwest Harris County.

The victim told a deputy that as her husband was pulling into their driveway, he noticed a man getting out of her car and then jump into a white Chevy Tahoe waiting nearby. The husband followed the suspects' vehicle and was able to gate a partial license plate number.

A short time later, a vehicle matching the description was stopped nearby with three suspects inside. All the suspects and the vehicle were returned to the original scene where the complainant made a positive identification. Inside the suspects' vehicle, and in plain view, deputies found several Christmas bags and other property that had just been stolen. The items were returned to their rightful owner.

Guillermo Lozada, 17, and a juvenile were both charged with burglary of a motor vehicle. The third suspect was not charged and was released.
